Welcome to ROAR | Buy Africa Build Africa (“ROAR”),a Pan African platform that celebrates African brilliance, culture, innovation, and economic empowerment. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our Services, including courses, digital products, vendor and affiliate programs, and any other offerings by ROAR (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ROAR, you agree to abide by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines published by us. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue use of the Services.
2. Services & Content Access
•We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use ROAR’s content and materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only
•You must not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or publicly display our content without our prior written consent.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to:
•Use the Services in ways that violate your local African country laws, including anti-hate speech, defamation, or cybercrime statutes.
•Upload or share content that is defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or infringing on intellectual property.
•Use the platform for unsolicited promotions (spam), impersonation, or malicious activities.
•Employ bots or automated scripts to scrape content or manipulate platform metrics.
4. Intellectual Property
•All content, trademarks, logos, course materials, and platform design remain the property of ROAR.
•User-generated content (“User Contributions”) remains yours, but by submitting, you grant ROAR a global, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, distribute, and display that content for promotional or operational purposes. This includes sharing via social media, third-party partners, or affiliates. Proper user attribution will be given when feasible.
5. Instructor & Trainer Terms
ROAR empowers African knowledge creators and experts to become Instructors or Trainers by publishing original courses, workshops, or learning content. If you create and publish educational content on ROAR, the following terms apply:
6.1 Eligibility & Application
• To become an Instructor, you must submit an application or proposal, including course objectives, curriculum structure, and a sample. ROAR reviews and approves submissions based on relevance, quality, and alignment with African-focused education.
• Instructors earn revenue based on user engagement and purchases:
• Direct Course Purchases: You receive 30% of net revenue from each user purchase of your course.
• Payments only begin once you’ve earned more than $100 on total course income.
• Subscription Model: If your course is accessed through a ROAR subscription plan, your earnings are calculated based on learner engagement (time spent, completion rates, reviews, and interaction).
• ROAR reserves the right to adjust earnings percentages during promotional campaigns but will notify Instructors in advance.
6.3 Engagement-Based Metrics
• Your share from the subscription pool depends on:
Completion rate (e.g., how many users complete your course),
• Engagement level (e.g., time spent watching, interaction with assessments or forums),
• User ratings and course feedback.
• This model encourages consistent course improvement and active communication with learners.
6.4 Rights and Ownership
• You retain full copyright of your original contentproduced without ROAR.
• By publishing on ROAR, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, market, and distribute your content on the platform.
• ROAR may translate or adapt your content to reach broader African audiences, with attribution.
6.5 Removal & Updates
• You may request removal of your content at any time. However, existing enrolled users may retain access to the content they paid for.
• ROAR may also remove content that violates community standards or becomes outdated, harmful, or non-compliant with local laws.
7. ROAR AI & Knowledge Assistant
ROAR includes an AI-powered assistant designed to answer user queries using verified African-based research, academic sources, cultural practices, indigenous knowledge, and local experts.
7.1 Use of AI Tools
• The AI assistant is provided to support learning, tutoring, and exploration of African knowledge systems.
• Users may interact with the AI for course-related help, career advice, cultural learning, or research guidance.
7.2 Limitations & Liability
• The AI tool is educational and informational only. It does not offer medical, legal, or financial advice.
• While ROAR curates African-centered data, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy or neutrality in complex topics. Always verify critical information with trusted human sources.
7.3 AI Usage Guidelines
• Do not misuse the AI for plagiarism, unethical academic behavior, or to spread misinformation.
• ROAR may limit or revoke access for users who abuse or exploit AI systems for harmful purposes.
7.4 Instructor Support
• Instructors may use the AI to develop content outlines, lesson ideas, or engage with learners more effectively.
• Use of AI in content creation must be declared if significant; transparency is required when submitting for publishing on ROAR.
6. Affiliate Program
ROAR runs an affiliate program to amplify African creativity:
5.1 Overview
•Affiliates share ROAR content (courses, e-books, promos) with their networks.
•When users engage via your affiliate links, you can earn commission based on their actions.
5.2 Commission Structure
•First-time purchase: Earn 40% commission of total sale.
•Recurring or repeat purchase: Earn 10% commission.
5.3 Tracking & Dashboard
•ROAR provides unique referral URLs and uses cookies (valid for 30 days) to track conversions.
•Affiliates have access to real-time dashboards to monitor sign-ups, sales, and earnings.
5.4 Promotional Materials
•Affiliates receive marketing assets (banners, logos) and may join private forums or communities to exchange ideas for effective campaigns.
5.5 Payments
•Payments are processed on request by email via PayPal in USD (or alternative method compatible across Africa).
•Affiliates are responsible for any transaction fees or currency conversion impacts.
•For a Product sale to be eligible to earn a referral fee, the customer must click-through a Special Link from your site, email, or other communications to https://resources.roar.academy and complete an order for a product during that session.
• We will only pay commissions on links that are automatically tracked and reported by our systems. We will not pay commissions if someone says they purchased or someone says they entered a referral code if it was not tracked by our system. We can only pay commissions on business generated through properly formatted special links that were automatically tracked by our systems.
•We reserve the right to disqualify commissions earned through fraudulent, illegal, or overly aggressive, questionable sales or marketing methods.
• Payments only begin once you’ve earned more than $100 in affiliate income. If your affiliate account never crosses the $100 threshold, your commissions will not be realized or paid.
5.6 Enrollment
•To join, complete the affiliate registration form. We review applications and contact you upon approval.
7. Account Security
•You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
•You must be at least 18 years old—or older, or asrequired by your local African regulations—to register or use the Service .
8. Modifications & Availability
•ROAR may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and we are not liable for any resulting loss assets.
•Access to certain courses or services may vary by country due to regulatory, licensing, or operational limits.
9. Payments Subscriptions
Some services require payment. By purchasing a product, you agree to:
•Pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase.
•Not receive refunds—all purchases are final.
•Maintain valid payment information for subscription-based services.
•Affiliate-related commissions may be reversed if a referred purchase is refunded or canceled.
No auto-renewals will be charged unless clearly stated at the time of purchase.
10. Disputes & Liability
•Any disputes should first be addressed by contacting ROAR’s support team.
•To the extent allowed under applicable African laws, ROAR’s liability for damages is limited to the amount paid by the user in the past six months or US$ 100, whichever is higher.
•Some local African jurisdictions may limit exclusions of liability—those legal provisions will take precedence.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
•These Terms are governed by the laws of The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
•Disputes will be resolved in The African Arbitration Association (AfAA), unless otherwise required by local law.
11. Termination
•ROAR reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, without liability, if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent behavior.
13. Privacy & Data Protection
•Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, aligning with applicable African data protection laws (e.g., Nigeria’s NDPR, South Africa’s POPIA, or GDPR where applicable).
•Affiliates consent to data processing required for payments and administration purposes .
14. Amendments
•We may update these Terms at any time. Major changes will be communicated via email or platform notice.
•Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Miscellaneous
Service constitutes the entire agreement between you and ROAR | Buy Africa Build Africa and govern your use of the Service, superceding any prior agreements between you and ROAR | Buy Africa Build Africa (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
